Our Talent Acquisition Specialist meets with all Hiring Mangers before posting a position to discuss; qualifications and needs, recruiting strategies, members of the hiring panel and interview questions, length of time for the posting, and desired start date for the position. Reach often utilizes Spark Hire for pre-screening interviews, before moving to panel interviews. The hiring panel conducts all candidate interviews before moving to decision-making discussions. An offer will be presented to the candidate and upon acceptance our Talent Acquisition Specialist will communicate the next steps and answer any questions. Those candidates not selected will also be notified.


Received an offer!

We are sure you have questions, but rest assured we have a robust onboarding process, which begins at the time your offer is accepted. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will continue to communicate with you and is available to answer questions.

You'll receive a welcome email outlining required actions that need to take place before your start date, which include but not limited to certifications, clearances, health form , I-9 verification, etc.

Our IT team is busy preparing your company issued equipment and environments. You should receive your equipment before the employment start date, where signature is required.

Onboarding meetings and trainings tailored to the position will be scheduled and visible on your company Outlook calendar.


Get your clearances!

In accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requirements Act 153 of 2014, all school employees are required to obtain the following clearances: Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, Act 34 Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Criminal History (PATCH), and Act 151 PA Child Abuse Clearances at time of hire and renewed every five (5) years thereafter. Each clearance has a separate associated fee and is the employee's responsibility. Questions should be directed to our Talent Acquisition Specialist.


Act 114 — FBI Fingerprinting Instructions:


Act 34 — PA State Police (PSP) Criminal History (PATCH) Instructions:

  • Go to the PATCH Website and "Submit a New Record Check".
  • Complete the New Record Check process making sure to select an "Individual Request" for Employment Purposes. Reach cannot accept volunteer clearances.
  • Once completed new hires will email the certificate to our Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Act 151 — Child Abuse Clearance Instructions:

  • Go to the PA Child Welfare Portal
    • First time users will be required to "Create an Individual Account".
    • Returning users , once logged in will "Access My Clearances" and "Create a Clearance Application".
  • Complete the application process making sure to select the Application Purpose is for School Employee Governed by Public School Code. Reach cannot accept volunteer clearances.
  • Once completed new hires will email the certificate to our Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Act 168 — Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release:

  • New hires must complete an 168 Form for each former employer that were either a school entity and/or where the new hire had direct contact with children. Once completed these should be forwarded to our Talent Acquisition Specialist.
