Meet Breyonna Conner
Reach Cyber Charter School has long been home to incredibly gifted and passionate students, and Breyonna Conner, a multi-talented Reach Cyber alumna, is a shining example of that legacy. Breyonna enrolled at Reach Cyber Charter School at a young age and quickly accelerated through her coursework, graduating at just 15 years old. Now 19, she has earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Neumann University. Her future includes preparing for the MCAT, pursuing EMT training to gain hands-on medical experience, and ultimately attending medical school with the goal of becoming an emergency room physician and surgeon. Her curiosity, determination, and deep commitment to serving underrepresented communities fuel her belief that if she sets her mind to something, she can achieve it.
From an early age, Breyonna demonstrated a deep passion for biology, medicine, music, and learning. Family members recall her reading biology textbooks for fun, moving through them with ease. Her interest in emergency medicine was sparked by watching Untold Stories of the ER, which solidified her desire to become a surgeon. As she approached graduation from Reach Cyber, Breyonna researched top pre-med programs, ultimately choosing Neumann University for its proximity to her family.
In addition to her academic passions, Breyonna is devoted to the arts, languages, and community service. has played classical piano since the age of two and now shares her talents as an organist at her church. Her decision to minor in Spanish was inspired by a childhood experience in which she noticed non-English-speaking patients in the emergency room experiencing longer wait times due to the lack of translators. This experience fueled her desire to provide not only medical care, but also compassionate, culturally responsive support.

Looking ahead, Breyonna plans to open medical practices in low-income communities and create programs that expose high school students to a wide range of medical specialties She believes that early exposure can demystify medicine, reduce fear of doctors, and empowering young people to see healthcare as accessible and inclusive. Through this work, she aims to give back to the communities that helped shape her.
Reflecting on her time at Reach Cyber Charter School, both Breyonna and her mother share a deep appreciation for the support and flexibility. Her mother recognized early that Reach Cyber's adaptable structure would allow Breyonna to flourish. Although Breyonna initially struggled with the transition to cyber learning, she soon thrived, progressing quickly through her courses. The independence and time-management skills she developed at Reach Cyber prepared her exceptionally well for college, especially at such a young age.
Breyonna fondly remembers her teachers and the rest of the staff as both supportive and challenging, providing a level of personalized support she believes would not have been possible in a traditional brick-and-mortar setting. Reach Cyber's commitment to meeting students where they are played helped her understand her own needs while propelling her toward a bright future.
Today, Breyonna feels ready to pursue the dreams she has long envisioned, grounded in the understanding that support is something that should be given freely to help others succeed. Reach Cyber Charter School proudly continues to cheer her on in all her future endeavors, as well as those of her younger brother, who is currently enrolled at Reach Cyber and forging his own unique path while balancing academics and athletics.
